Well-maintained, classic Volvo 240 wagon. 1993 was the last year these tanks were made. Purchased from a Volvo mechanic, driven daily and fastidiously maintained by a Volvo fanatic. In the last year, I've put a lot into this car to make it my dependable, daily driver. The list is long, but includes electrical updating, new brakes, shocks, struts, A/C service and Freon charge, four new tires and alignment. Paint is in great shape, interior is clean, showing little sign of wear, dash has zero clacks. The car has clearly been garaged most of it's life. Cruises at 75 mph in graceful comfort. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car across the country tomorrow. If you're reading this, you likely know that these cars have a justified cult following due to their simplistic elegance, over-engineered design and proven longevity. They just go forever. I've owned a few 240s and looked for a long time with an experienced eye before I purchased this one. Though she is not perfect, she's in very good condition for a 25 year old vehicle. This car runs really well, smooth, and dependably. I am the second owner, since October 1994 and bought it from Volvo of Lisle. The interior is in fantastic condition for the age - been a non-smoker's car its entire life. The title is clean. The exterior is not bad, but certainly far from mint. Is it a perfect car? Certainly not - and if the exterior were in great condition and all the quirks of the engine addressed, then it would be listed at a whole lot more. But, it is a good car, very reliable, and has been cared for the past 24 years. The car is an automatic transmission car. I am happy to share additional photos. More details below. Recent maintenance • Full 120,000 tune up (timing belt, cam seal, ignition rotor, fuel filter, distr. cap, ign wriest, air filter, downshift cable, etc.) at, 121,378 • Left front tire replaced, 133,130 • Replaced all brakes, front rotors, rear calipers, tie rods 143,400 • Front & rear alignment, 143,680 • Replace muffler system, 144,244 • Replaced spark plugs (Bosch Platinum), replaced transmission fluid 144,398 • Replaced brake master cylinder and transmission bushings 144,988 • Replaced rear shocks, front shocks & struts, front wheel bearings ( R ), repacked (L), front brake hardware and retaining springs 144,988 • Repaired power steering leak, replaced light delay 148,166 • Replaced rear bumper, body work to repair from 2/11/11 crash • Replaced wiper relay switch 157,511 • Replaced blower motor and relay 155,270 • Replaced windshield wiper switch 157,500 • Belts (timing, alternator, etc.) inspected and tightened 157,525 • Fuel pump replaced 157,525 • Oil changes at 3,000~4,000 mile increments NOTE: Will not include radio, which is not working Known issues: a. Fuel gauge broken, easily worked around by filling every 200 miles b. Air conditioning needs to be updated to new system and charged. Typical for a Volvo 240 at this age. c. Rack & pinion system needs to be replaced, or simply replace power steering fluid periodically (this has been the method for ten years) d. Will need new tires eventually e. Was in a T-bone crash hitting passenger side, rear quarter panel, Feb 11, 2011. Bumper, right rear tail light assembly and dent pulled/sealed by Wreck & Roll. No leaks at all since then f. Some clearcoat peeling on front driver's quarterpanel and in other areas of car g. Some rust on lower quarter panels and in other areas – not terribly major g. Odometer stopped at 157,572. Driven less than 200 miles since then. Easily solved with replacing a gear inside odometer - I can share directions.

216K miles, moonroof, new battery, am/fm/cd, power windows & locks, cranks but no start, A/C converted to R134 but has leak, some clear coat peeling, clean title, no accident, rust free New Mexico vehicle.

We are selling a good running reliable car with no known problems. Volvo 240DL's are renowned for durability and good handling which was further enhanced on this car by a retrofit of 15" GT wheels with new 190-60 R15 Yokohama H/V tires. The original 14" spare is in excellent condition. An optional trailer hitch with electric plug-in is installed. The rear compartment has 71 cu.ft of cargo space when the rear seat is folded. There is also an underdeck compartment which contains the tools and the electrical connection for the trailer hitch.The original white paint shows no sign of rust or deterioration. The rocker panels have the original finish and show no signs of rust. The roof rack has been refinished. The only visible exterior defect is a small scratch and two light dimples on the left rear quarter panel.The woven cloth seats show little wear and the balance of the interior plastics and trim are in good condition with only a few small cracks on the top of the dash and a small repaired tear in the inner right rear door panel. In addition to the standard floor mats, molded Volvo floor pans are at each foot well and a Weather Teck mat is installed on the rear deck. There are speakers on all 4 doors, but no radio is installed. However, three OEM style radios are included along with some spare parts. A partial service log with a January 4, 2016 Auto Check Vehicle History Report is included as well as a Bentley Volvo 240 service manual and additional downloads of relevant service information and wiring diagrams. The following work has been performed: Transmission rebuild, cat back exhaust system, timing belt, tensioner ,water pump, spark plugs wires distributor cap and rotor, master cylinder, flame trap, fuel pump relay, fuel filter, air filter, 10W30 Mobil 1 oil and filter, oxygen sensors and crank position sensor, rear hatch wiring harnesses.
